π·How Does it Work?
CoinStir leverages the Oasis Privacy Layer to offer privacy on EVM chains.
Oasis Privacy Layer to offer privacy on EVM chains.By allowing users to utilize their favorite EVM chain while exporting sensitive data to the Oasis Sapphire paratime, CoinStir is able to provide streamlined privacy with minimal extra work from its users.
Below is an 'Explain it Like I'm 5' description of the platform, with a more technical explanation being included in the following pages.
ELI5: CoinStir is separated into two halves - the Host contract and the Enclave contract. The Host contract exists on a chain like ETH, while the Enclave contract exists on the Sapphire paratime. The two contracts are able to communicate with each other via the Celer Network's IM Bridge. By all movement of funds occurring on the Host, and all contract information (state) kept in the Enclave, CoinStir is able to move funds as normal while keeping the state hidden from public view. Because multiple people are using CoinStir, funds transferred cannot be traced back to the specific wallet that sent them.
There may be some unfamiliar terms in the following documentation, but each will be broken out into further detail.
